PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains how Techadox, Inc. (“Techadox” or “our” or “we”) uses and discloses personal data that we collect from individuals, including business and client contacts, freelancers, and other consumers (“Customers”) who visit the Techadox platform (“Platform”) which is Techadox’s facility for listing and fulfilling Work Orders from Customers by Technicians, all application programming interfaces (“APIs”), and all other software and communication tools provided by Techadox on or in concert with its Platform (including mobile/smartphone or other manifestations) (“Application” or “Applications”, including but not limited to Work Orders and Profiles. “Work Orders” are requests to have specific technical work performed, submitted by Customers through the Platform, for prospective fulfillment by Technicians. A “Customer” is a third-party client requesting work through the Techadox Platform in the form of a Work Order. A “Technician” is a third party user of the Platform having the technical ability to fulfill Work Orders within its expertise and seeking to do so for Customers on the Platform. A “Profile” is the information supplied by either a Technician or Customer pertaining to Technician’s ability to perform work sought through the Platform, or a Customer’s ability to receive services through the Platform.

Information Collection 

If you buy or sell services using our Platform, we collect and store information that specifically identifies you or your Profile (“Personally Identifiable Information”). The Personally Identifiable information that may be collected includes: contact data (such as, name, mailing and email address, telephone number, cell phone carrier, and fax number), demographic and location information (such as, ZIP code, age, date of birth, and gender), work-related data (such as, technical experience, skill sets, certifications, or job history), and financial and tax information (note, however, that Techadox does not store credit card information, as this is handled by our payment processor). We may, in the future, include other optional requests for information from you, to help us to tailor the Platform by delivering more personalized information to you. We may supplement our information with additional information purchased from third parties for marketing purposes.

We will ask you for personal data when you interact with us, such as registering on the Platform; setting up an Profile as a freelancer, contractor, or employee; making a purchase; signing up to receive marketing communications or providing and receiving services, goods, or products. We may collect information about your visit, including the pages you view, the links you click and other actions taken in connection with our services. We may also collect certain standard information that your browser sends to every website you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and language, access times and referring platform addresses.

How We Use the Information 

We may use the information you provide about yourself to fulfill your requests for services and programs offered by us, to respond to your inquiries about our offerings, and to offer you other services, programs and products that we believe may be of interest to you.

Techadox updates its Platform regularly, and utilizes text messaging for updates and notifications for registered Customers and Technicians. Agents might call Technicians to help with the functionality of the Platform and Work Orders. Techadox or their agents might contact Customers and Technicians through text messages for verification, as well as phone calls.

We sometimes use the non-Personally Identifiable Information that we collect to improve the functionality of our Platform and personalize its users’ experience. We also may use this information in the aggregate to analyze Platform usage, as well as to offer you services, programs or products.

We may, however, use any of the information you provide on an internal basis to regulate, maintain, or improve the security or qualify of service of the Platform.

We may also disclose Personally Identifiable Information in response to legal process, for example, in response to a court order or a subpoena. We also may disclose such information in response to a law enforcement agency’s request, or where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our terms of use, or as otherwise required by law. In addition, we may transfer information about you if we are acquired by or merged with another company.

Confidentiality and Security of Personal Information

Although we take appropriate measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of information, we cannot assure you that Personally Identifiable Information that we collect will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Notice. We may share your Personally Identifiable Information if disclosure is necessary to (i) comply with a court order or other legal process (as discussed in detail in the previous section), (ii) protect our rights and property or that of our licensors, (iii) to enforce our other contractual rights, or (iv) defend ourselves (in a tribunal or otherwise) against a claim by the Platform user to whom the information pertains.

Our advertisers may disclose Personally Identifiable Information to companies whose practices are not covered by this privacy notice (e.g., other marketers, magazine publishers, retailers, participatory databases, and non-profit organizations) that want to market products or services to you, if you provide such information to them. We do not send any of your Personally Identifiable Information to any advertisers. You may see a cookie from a third-party ad server, and this cookie comes from the third-party ad server, not Techadox.

Cookies and other Tracking Tools

When you visit, use the Platform, or receive digital communications from us, we collect certain information by automated means, using technologies such as cookies, pixel tags, browser analysis tools, server logs and web beacons.

For example, when you visit our website, we place cookies on your device. Cookies are small text files that websites send to your computer or other Internet-connected device to uniquely identify your browser or to store information or settings in your browser. Cookies allow us to recognize you when you return. They also help us provide a customized experience and enable us to detect certain kinds of fraud or abuse. In many cases, you can manage cookie preferences and opt-out of having cookies and other data collection technologies used by adjusting the settings on your browser. All browsers are different, so visit the “help” section of your browser to learn about cookie preferences and other privacy settings that may be available. However, if you do block or limit such settings in respect of Techadox, we reserve the right to reduce the functionality of our Platform available to you, or disable your access completely.

Cookies, by themselves, do not tell us your e-mail address or other Personally Identifiable Information unless you choose to provide this information to us by, for example, registering at one of our sites. However, once you choose to furnish the Platform with Personally Identifiable Information, this information may be linked to the data stored in the cookie. We use cookies and other technologies to study traffic patterns on our Platform, to improve that Platform’s functionality, as well as to study the effectiveness of our customer communications. We also may use cookies to offer you services, programs or products.

As is true of most platforms, we may gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and click stream data. We may use this information, to the extent it does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the Platform, to track users movements around the Platform and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

This allows us to compile aggregate statistics about usage of our Platform and allows us to gauge the popularity and effectiveness of specific web pages and any promotional programs we may be running. Such information may be gathered globally and is not personally identifiable.

Location Information

When you access and give permission to use the geo-location feature of the Techadox Platform through your mobile device, Techadox may access and process your location data to provide better platform functionality. Choosing to disable this feature may affect the functionality of the Platform and impair its full utilization, or require us to disable or prevent your access.

Terms Specifically Applicable to Service Technicians

As part of registration as a Technician, you must set up your Profile by describing your experience, rates and qualifications, work, and schedule. Some of the information requested in the on-line registration is mandatory. If you decide to offer your services through our Platform, potential third party customers will look to your Profile to help them decide whether to make use of your services. Our customers will not be able to select you as a service technician, however, until you have agreed to our online Technician Terms.

Other Limits to Your Privacy — Third Party Sites

The Platform may eventually contain links to other third party platforms. Neither Techadox nor its licensors are responsible for the content of these third party sites or their privacy policies. Please understand that any information that is disclosed on these sites becomes public information. You should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your Personally Identifiable Information on other than legitimately Techadox-branded sites or applications.

Mobile Applications

Techadox’s Application is offered on mobile devices to allow you to access your account, interact with the Platform, and receive updates, notifications, and other information. Personal data collected by Techadox via our mobile Application is protected by the terms of this Privacy Policy.

GDPR Notice

Techadox does not currently serve Customers, Technicians, or any other users who reside in or are otherwise subject to the general jurisdiction of the European Union. If you are a EU resident or entity and have been directed to enter identifying information into any Techadox-branded site or application, please notify us immediately at privacypolicy@techadox.com describing the circumstances.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Techadox reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. We will occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services and customer feedback. When we post changes to this Privacy Policy, we will revise the “last updated” date at the bottom of this document.
